Yes You Can!!! I also have bad credit and was looking for land and a home. I got a FHA loan. Just got approved last week. I was able to get 3 acres and a brand new double wide. Yes I did have to put a down payment but it was small. Good thing is that everything else is included in the loan. Check with your local banks.

Great post, though some of it is outdated. The express rewards program from Amex is gone and the company i used to use to pay use went under. An earlier poster mentioned chargesmart so i tried that last month and it worked pretty well actually. the fee was an issue but it was lower than what i paid with a cash advance so ill prob do it again next month. it took 2 days for it to arrive and came in like a wire transfer... not too bad overall.

Great Article....very informing
I wanted some extra miles so I tried it. I payed my mortgage by credit card through this website called Chargesmart. I was kinda iffy about doing this, but it worked. The fee is an issue so i won't do it to often, but it doesn't hurt to do it every now and then.

Are you posting this question on the right article? If you're talking about spam phone calls...try Googling the number to determine the origin. Or you can try calling back but add a *67 to hide your phone number from view.

Beware of GMAC equity rewards card if you transfer a balance!!! In fact I would not recommend it at all. You will be hit with the oridinary transfer transaction fee which will in fact be your first purchase with them. After that you will be stuck paying finance charges untill you have your ENTIRE balance paid off. Con Artists at their best. They should be sued.

While using rebates to pay for your mortgage helps some, I would rather see rebates used for investment purposes. I am not talking about savings accounts like they already have, but help people invest in college and retirement funds that can be more beneficial to them than paying off their mortgage. Americans have a more serious issue with retirement planning than paying off mortgages.

Thanks for the great idea for the credit card rebates. I have a rebate coming to me that I am not sure how to apply it. 1) retail card 2) cash back or 3) apply to my current statement balance. (don't have past due amount). Applying directly to my mortgage would be another option to help pay it down faster.
Thanks.
