I heard if you apply for a credit card but don't actually activate it, that your FICO credit score isn't affected. I guess I can debate whether to open the Visa Black Card account formally when I actually receive it and have it in hand. Despite the supposed exclusiveness of the card, I highly doubt the Visa Black's all that difficult to get.
