<content type="html" xml:lang="en" xml:base="http://www.moneybluebook.com/">Wanted to report that one lender I talked to was not interested in seeing the report I pulled myself from myFICO. He said that people have altered reports that they have pulled and thus the only credit score that his financial institution trusts is one they have pulled themselves.
I doubt I will be moving forward with this lender (not for this reason), but I wanted to mention it and see if anyone else had experienced this. It sounds like most people here are monitoring their credit for their own use, but the reason I came to know about this website was a lender's webpage had a link. The lender suggested that borrowers pull their own credit reports when shopping loans so that the potential lenders weren't all dinging your credit. Made sense to me.</content>

Too bad these free fico score trial periods are not re-usable an unlimited number of times. I think they cap it per credit card number or perhaps by identity.</content>

<content type="html" xml:lang="en" xml:base="http://www.moneybluebook.com/">Question about the myfico credit estimator. How accurate is it in projecting one's real fico credit score? It's run by the same guys who created the myfico score so I assume their online testing system is pretty accurate. Has anyone tried to compare their myfico credit score estimations with their actual scores?</content>

<content type="html" xml:lang="en" xml:base="http://www.moneybluebook.com/">Okay I just used a myFICO code and got my credit score promo discount. Excellent deal. The myFICO code I used is still good and active...not sure about all of the myFICO promo codes listed above however. Maybe it's time to update a few of them?
I got my hands on my Equifax FICO credit scores and my TransUnion FICO, but nowhere can I find my Experian FICO score. I read your blog post about Experian myFICO scores but it looks like I may be out of luck on this one.
But, Does the Suze Orman FICO platinum kit offer Experian FICO's? The Suze Orman website link, if you read it carefully, gives some conflicting information. I'm not sure whether the guys over at myFICO have merely omitted some information or whether Experian FICO's are still available. On one hand while it indicates that you get access to all 3 of your personalized myFICO credit reports and 3 myFICO scores (presumably from all 3 credit bureaus - Equifax, Transunion, AND Experian), it also indicates access to Equifax and Transunion scores only. I'm just a bit confused. Can anyone share the correct answer on this matter?
And Also, in regards to the hard credit pull and soft credit pull questions about concerning myFICO, no - getting your credit scores from myFICO does not ding your score. It's considered a personal self initiated request and is perfectly harmless. I've been pulling my own FICO scores for years without harm. If it was hurting my score, I would most definitely know!</content>

No, it doesn't. It only happens when a lender pulls your scores/reports.</content>

		<content type="html" xml:lang="en" xml:base="http://www.moneybluebook.com/">Kelly---
myFICO.com is the official provider of fico credit scores. They are basically the online division of the Fair Isaac Corporation who developed the fico. They get royalty payments from the big three credit agencies (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion) when they use the fico formula in their credit score sale. Yes, you can indeed buy your fico credit scores directly from the 3 credit agencies but you can also buy them directly from myfico.com as well.
Both methods constitute as checking your own credit report and credit score. Both are considered soft credit checks that do not ding or harm your score. I have used the myfico scorewatch product for like 2 years already to get my regularly updated monthly fico scores and there have been no hard credit inquiries made on my reports. Even if you use the 30 day trial credit watch offer via myfico.com, it's still considered a harmless personal credit pull.</content>
