You get 1% back on all purchases. No limits and the cash or points never expire. Every quarter Chase offers different categories where you can earn 5% back. If you use the Chase Mall link on their website and shop at 1000's of merchants, you can even earn up to 20% depending on what that merchant is willing to pay for web traffice to their site.
With the new chase.com/ultimaterewards site there are many free bonus perks that come with the card. You can buy one movie ticket a month and get one free for your partner. So many freebies make the Chase Freedom card a better rewards card, if not the best one out there.
You can redeem for cash, gift cards, airline tickets or just have them deduct the amount from your monthly bill. If you have a friend with a Chase Freedom card and he needs to have 100 more points to buy his airline ticket, you can transfer some of yours to him so he can go.
So check it out!

I'm confused; how are the features you list any better than MOST credit cards out there? It sounds pretty ordinary to me. Is it just the "finish it" feature?
The Fidelity Retirement Awards AmEx to me sounds like a really interesting and different deal. 2% of what you spend (so double what you're talking about with the Chase card) goes into a Fidelity IRA:

I have a Discover card, and if you shop from their website you can expect 5-20% cash back on tons of online sites. In general you're going to be much better than 1% on that card.
I also have an Amazon.com card, which gets better than 1% back in cash to spend on Amazon.com, where you can buy pretty much anything at all.
Honestly, I'm underwhelmed by your description.
